Sane signed for City three years ago in a 37m deal from Schalke, playing a leading role in their first Premier League title triumph under Pep Guardiola in the 2017-18 campaign. However, regular playing time has proved an issue for Sane this season – as City completed a unprecedented domestic treble.Sane started 21 of City’s 38 Premier League game, making a 10 further appearances from the bench, but scored 10 league goals and six more in cup competitions.
