BST Chair Christine Seddon told talkSPORT: We’ve worked towards this for so long and you dream about it. It’s out of this world. It’s very emotional. In 2017 the High Court ruled Owen Oyston had illegitimately stripped millions of pounds from Blackpool FC following the club’s promotion to the Premier League in 2010.For the last four years thousands of Blackpool fans have boycotted home games in protest against his ownership.Mrs Seddon believes his ousting has huge ramifications for other clubs. He said: I hope that there are some rogue owners out there who are feeling extremely uncomfortable at the moment. This gives hope to fans of clubs like Charlton, Port Vale, Hull, Blackburn, Coventry.Blackpool’s ground was bathed in sunshine on Tuesday as news of Oyston’s departure was met with joy2

Blackpool are currently ninth in League One, but could receive a 12-point deduction for going into insolvency, which would leave them two points above the relegation places. The EFL said they will consider the matter at their next meeting on March 6.Mr Oyston still owes 25m to ex-director Valeri Belokon, who bought a 20% stake in the club in 2006.Mrs Seddon added: Fans are waking up to the fact that football without them is nothing. I think that movement will go from strength to strength. Football has to change.Receiver Paul Cooper of David Rubin & Partners has appointed a new Blackpool FC board with extensive experience in football. New Managing Director Ben Hatton was Manchester United’s Director of Commercial Enterprises between 1997-2007, during which time turnover increased from 67m to 301m.Michael Bolingbroke, who will act as a consultant to the board, also worked at Old Trafford as CEO and was Chief Executive of Inter Milan.Attendances at Bloomfield Road have regularly been 2,000-3,000. Blackpool’s next home game is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 and the club are expecting around 10,000 supporters for the match.Mrs Seddon added: We are coming home and we can’t wait.

Whatever the situation, though, I think that remaining NAPM to the bitter end is not necessary, personally. It's a personal decision, of course. For me, the removal of all Oystons and the installation of a new board and a receiver whose job is to sell the club, is what we all strived for. Owen may yet raise the £25m and return. Or seek to return.
