Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has rubbished claims current boss Mauricio Pochettino works on limited resources at the club.Pochettino has received widespread praise for his achievement this season despite Tottenham failing to add to their squad in either of the previous two transfer windows.The club have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and briefly threatened to challenge for the title before an untimely dip in form saw them drop into a race for the top four.Others around Tottenham have spent big while increasing costs surrounding their delayed new stadium has restricted Pochettino’s transfer budget, but Sherwood insists his successor has not been deprived of new players.2

Id say no. I think hes happy with the squad hes got.“Were comparing him with Liverpool and Man City which is wrong.”2

Sherwood has believes the ‘limited resources’ argument is a myth

Tottenham have not won any of their last four league games in a run which has seen them suffer shock defeats to Burnley and Southampton.While they remain third, Tottenham find themselves just four points ahead of sixth-place Chelsea, who can close the gap to one point by winning their game in hand.Spurs are yet to travel to Manchester City or Liverpool, who both feature in a tough run-in, but Sherwood still expects his former club to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
