And it appears the 22-year-old’s talents haven’t gone unnoticed with United making the 60million-rated Maddison their top priority, according to the Daily Record.No official bid has been made yet and it’s still in the early stages of enquiries and discussions about the transfer.It remains to be seen whether City, Liverpool or Tottenham will launch a bid for him. Maddison joined Leicester for 20million from Norwich City last summer.He forced his way into Gareth Southgate’s England squad during their Nations League group campaign and he will be a key player for their Under-21 side at the European Championships in Italy.United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a huge rebuilding project at Old Trafford this summer following their inability to qualify for next season’s Champions League.The Red Devils appear to be on the verge of signing Swansea starlet Daniel James but Solskjaer, along with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, may well be plotting a bid for Maddison too.
