Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez will not face retrospective punishment from the FA after appearing to stamp on Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny in Saturdays 1-1 draw.The incident happened following a second-half goalmouth scramble that left the Frenchman furious.1

Davinson Sanchez will face no further action from the FA

A short clip showing Sanchez appearing to dig his studs into Koscielny was posted and shared on social media.Sky Sports report referee Anthony Taylor and his officials saw the incident, which means no further action will be taken against Sanchez, who could have been slapped with a three-game ban.

Taylor was criticised for awarding a penalty to both sides as Harry Kane looked offside before being bundled over by Shkodran Mustafi and Sanchezs foul on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was deemed soft.The Gunners also had a case for Aubameyangs missed penalty to be retaken after Jan Vertonghens encroachment into the box.
