All 24 Championship teams were in action on Boxing Day with promotion chasing Leeds, Norwich and West Brom all failing to register victories on a eventual day in the EFL.Here’s how the drama unfolded.

Blackburn 2-1 West BromWest Brom dropped down to fourth after they fell to a 2-1 defeat at struggling Blackburn.Charlie Mulgrew scored direct from a corner to put Rovers ahead on 52 minutes, and Bradley Dack fired in another five minutes later.Jay Rodriguez pulled a goal back for the Baggies from the penalty spot on 63 minutes, but it turned out to be a mere consolation.West Brom finished with 10 men after substitute Jake Livermore was dismissed for violent conduct.

Reading 1-4 SwanseaNew Royals boss Jose Gomes suffered another defeat as Swansea ran out 4-1 winners at the Madejski Stadium.Oli McBurnie headed the visitors in front after just two minutes, with Connor Roberts and Dutch defender Mike Van Der Hoorn adding to the scoreline before the break.McBurnie scored his second and Swansea’s fourth from the penalty spot on 48 minutes.Reading got a consolation goal with 13 minutes remaining courtesy ofCallum Harriott.
